THE LORD’S PRAYER

Since the earliest years of the church, the Lord’s Prayer has deeply shaped prayer, worship,
direction, and theology.

The point of the Lord’s Prayer is never to limit our prayer but to open up the potential of our prayers.

Maybe you grew up with the prayer; maybe you didn’t.
Maybe you’re growing up with the prayer right now.

As we pray together, may the words of the Lord’s Prayer shape us in profound ways -
reminding us of God’s infinite care and compassion. Please join me in praying together.

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.
