Today you are invited to come together at the Eucharist table. Taking a seat at this table is a reminder that it is through the love of Christ that we are made whole. By participating in this meal together while physically apart, we acknowledge that this divine love stretches beyond cities, and provinces. It passes through screens and meets us where we are; at our tables, or on our couches, alone or in the company of others. No matter where we are today, let us take a moment to reflect on how, even though space may separate us, the grace of the God whose love knows no limit brings us together. May this reflection serve as a reminder that, while we wish that life was back to normal and that we were gathered together serving this meal to one another, there is beauty in this moment. There is beauty in missing each other and Love is all around us.

So let's turn to the elements that we have prepared for ourselves today in our homes. Maybe it's bread and grapes or perhaps you got a little extra creative today. Regardless of what they may be, here is a blessing for your elements.

Limitless God,
Spirit of peace,
You meet us where we are and bless our tables.
And as we participate together,
May we be reminded that, at this table, we are equals.
At this table we are brought together -
United by and through Christ,
Surrounded by grace.

Feeling the weight of the bread in your hands,
Remember that this is Christ's body
And through it we are made whole.
Join me as we eat together.

Lifting the cup to your lips,
Remember that you are joined with Christ
And nothing can separate you from God’s love.
Join me as we drink together.

Let's pray.
Loving God,
We thank you for the time spent sharing this sacred meal together,
For the ways you make yourself known to us through gestures big and small.
For hearing our prayers whether they are thoughtfully articulated or nothing more than a sigh.
For the grace you have for us always.
Be with us today and in the days to come,
Nudging us toward compassion and gratitude.
In the name of Christ we pray.
