PALM SUNDAY INVITATION

On Palm Sunday, we step into the last week of Jesus’s life: his last meal with friends, his betrayal, his trial, his death on the cross, and his resurrection.

This holy week begins with us joining the crowds that welcome Jesus as their King into Jerusalem, bursting with joy and spreading their garments and palm branches in front of him.

On Palm Sunday, we join this parade of hope -

The little children, running through the Tempe and shouting “Hosanna,”

And all those caught up in the story of love coming to defeat all darkness.

As we sing our hosannas today,

I invite you to name those parts of your life where you are waiting for Jesus to come in with love, mercy and healing...

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.”
