THE LORD'S PRAYER

As God's children, we gather in this space and we remind and retell each other of the things God has done and is doing. We often use new songs and new language and newly written prayers to do this, but we also use historically significant pieces to help center us in the story of God. This morning we get to join together and speak the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray in the gospels. 

Our Father, 
who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. 
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those
who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, 
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power and the glory,
For ever and ever.

Amen.
