EUCHARIST INVITATION

In this posture of worship, friends, it is my privilege to invite you to the Eucharist table. Here at Commons we long to live as a community that is honest and passionate, while working hard to place Jesus at the centre in all we do. And consequently, the Eucharist is vital for us.

It is here in the receiving of bread and grape that we acknowledge God’s expansive goodness and his benevolent position toward us. And it is here, face to face with one another, that we can confess our need and longing for renewal…trusting that our hope comes from Christ within us.

So wherever you are today…jubilant, anxious, hopeful, or tired…know that this sacred meal is for you. 

Offered by Christ, restoring and fulfilling you in this moment. And now…know that this Table “is offered to all, as surely as the living Jesus Christ is for all, as surely as all of us are [one] in him…all of us rich through his mercy.” (Karl Barth) 

Come, I invite you now.

THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power and the glory, For ever and ever.
Amen.
