God, thank you for our country. This weekend, while we celebrate 150 years, we recognize the people who have lived in this land much longer than that. Thank you for the beauty that lies in oceans and mountains and prairies, all created by you, all giving glory to you.
We thank you for the leadership of this country,
we pray for continued wisdom and guidance as they lead.
Help us to be a people of vision, and courage, and commitment, offering hope and comfort to all who find themselves here as well as those that choose to live here.
Help us to live faithfully as your people while we live and work and share this land.
We pray all this in the name of Jesus,
Amen.
