THANKSGIVING PRAYER

Creator God,
We give you thanks for how mother earth provides for us,
This abundant source of life that beckons us to live harmoniously,
Harmony that helps us to see our connectedness to ALL your creations.
Who’s seasons teach us that life is rich with opportunities for growth and new beginnings.

Christ our companion,
We thank you for the gift of an ordinary life made extraordinary by the people around us
The ones that make us feel at home,
Who offer listening ears, shared meals, courageous empathy.
The people who bear difficult journeys with us
Providing a divinely encouraging presence for each step of the way.

God our hope,
We give thanks for all the things we don’t need to wish for,
freedom from, food security, fulfillment of our most basic needs.
So we turn our hope - as wild and tame as it may be
Offering it to people and places we do not yet know
Trusting that the blessings we’ve received
Be shared with, experienced by, our local and global communities.
