Here’s a quick rundown of what is happening through the Christmas Season at Commons.

SUNDAY, December 18: NORMAL SERVICE TIMES

Wednesday, December 21: Darkest Night Liturgy

Amidst the bright lights and busy glow of the Christmas season comes the darkest night of the year, the winter solstice. It is easy to miss or ignore this moment as we hurry about our holiday preparations.

But the season of Advent is a time for waiting, for holding space in darkness as we await the birth of the Messiah. This is a time for us to sit with the grief and darkness that we carry in our own lives and for the world around us.

We invite you to join us on the darkest night of the year to reflect in quiet by candle light. There will be a time of led liturgy at the beginning of the hour, and then space for your own thoughtfulness and prayer, and the opportunity to light a candle as a reminder of the hope we hold during this season.

This service will begin at 7PM in the Sanctuary at Commons Church.

Saturday, December 24: Christmas Eve Services

We love the celebration of Christmas Eve. After waiting well through Advent we are ready to burst into the new world of the Christ Child arrived in our midst.

Whether you are at church or in your living room, Christmas Eve will be meaningful because we welcome the birth of the Christ Child together. This moment is designed for the whole family to participate together. We can’t wait for you to join us.
