Ukraine Response

Gratitude to everyone who was able to join us last night at the prayer vigil. The liturgy has been made available to reflect on.

As a community we have been praying but also working to see how we can respond to this crisis. We will be making a $5000 contribution from the general fund and until the end of March accepting donations to add own top of that to send to Ukraine. Those funds will be divide between the Canadian Red Cross, who is on already doing relief word, and an organization called Humanitarian Aid Response Team. This is an organization that’s based in eastern Europe and in Ukraine and so they are already on the ground working. We will be making a contribution directly to their refugee fund.

When you donate at common.church you can select the “crisis response” fund and all of those contributions received will be collected and sent on top of what we have already committed from the general fund.
