THE LORD’S PRAYER

Today is the Seventh Sunday of Easter, also known as Ascension Sunday.
It begins the final stretch of the Easter season, ten days between the bodily ascent of the risen Christ into heaven and the descent of the Holy Spirit.

In a moment, we will join our voices in the Lord’s Prayer.
And as we say the words that Jesus gave us,
May you be reminded that the Divine fills both heaven and earth,
That God knows what you need today,
And that at the center of the universe is Love that always moves towards you.

I invite you to join me in The Lord’s Prayer.
Our Father, 
who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. 
Thy will be done 
On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those 
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, 
But deliver us from evil.

For Thine is the kingdom,
The power and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.
