COMMUNITY PRAYER

Written By Larissa Amour

Loving God,
You have called us to live and to love in community. To encourage one another, to help one another and to pray for one another.

So today we pray for...
Our neighbor who’s been riding a rollercoaster of challenge and adversity,
Our neighbor experiencing job in-security, mounting bills and responsibility
Our neighbor grieving the loss of their beloved,
Our neighbor experiencing illness in its many forms,
Our neighbors who’s home is no longer a sanctuary.

Comforting God,
May you find our neighbor in the crowd, may they find the strength to reach out, may they be met with your tenderness and overwhelming care for their lives.

As you have called us to live and to love in community – we thank you for the way in which we find reason to celebrate, to delight and to rest.

Today we thank you for...
The people who’ve entered into our lives, and chosen to stay in it,
The relationships that have flourished and grown deeper,
Unexpected opportunities that have shown us just how capable we are,
For the time and space to build around us a new living space,
For the moments where your presence and splendor is inescapably beautiful

God of all creation,
May we never cease from finding reasons to give you thanks, may we continue to see your spirit in those around us, and may our communities continue to reflect your loving kindness.

Amen.
