PRAYER FOR REPAIR
By Bobbi Salkald

We begin with the brokenness in our bodies.
We take a moment to narrow in on the sensations of being alive.
Where there is tension,
Where there is pain,
Where there is sickness —
Christ of repair,
tend to our pain
with your presence.
We move on to consider the brokenness in relationships.
We take a moment to narrow in on the disruptions to our connectedness with others.
Where there is hatred,
Where there is suspicion,
Where there is confusion —
Christ of repair,
tend to differences
with your nearness to all.
We move on to consider the brokenness in our world.
We take a moment to name a place, an oppression, a deception in the world as an act of witness.
Where there is violence,
Where there is ungenerous wealth,
Where there is terror,
Christ of repair,
tend to earth’s pain
with your shalom of full flourishing.
God of all
For all
And in all
Raise us to life with you.
Amen.
