PRAYER FOR STEPPING IN AND STEPPING OUT

A prayer for two staff who are transitioning to different roles and a prayer for each of us as we step in and out of different pieces of our lives.

For Ashley and the team stepping in:
As they renew creativity to welcome children and explore their questions,
As they inspire families to nurture love in a thousand directions,
As they shape spiritualities of wonder and the closeness of Christ.
GOD WHO PLAYS,
MEET THE COMMONS KIDS TEAM IN COMMUNITY AND COLLABORATION.

For all who are stepping in:
As we step in for a friend in need of support and a listening ear,
As we step in to offer a colleague or partner a new perspective,
As we step into places we’ve been away from for so long and engage our commitments.
GOD WHO PLAYS,
MEET US IN COMMUNITY AND COLLABORATION.

For Ryan and her family as she steps out:
As she and Evan parent their daughter and make space for a new baby,
As their families prepare to offer love as grandma, grandpa, auntie, uncle, and cousins,
As friends come around to provide help, support, and encouragement, knowing it is an honour to be trusted
with these gifts.
GOD OUR MAKER,
MEET RYAN AND HER FAMILY IN CLOSENESS AND CARE.

For all those stepping out:
As we discern what efforts are truly close to our hearts,
As we learn the value of saying “no,” or “that’s not for me,” or “I’m gonna take a pass on that,”
As we turn towards the practices, skills, and people we choose to give ourselves to.
