How to Pray

as taught by jesus.

“...let us pick up the stones over which we stumble, friends, and build altars...
Let us pray.” — Pádraig Ó Tuama

For thousands of years, poets, seekers, and practitioners have tried to uncover what it means to encounter God.
With words. With silence. With gratitude. With lament.

This is why we shouldn’t be shocked that Jesus’ followers came to him admitting something we’ve all felt—that sometimes we don’t know how to pray.
This admission is a great place to star: with prayer, fol lowed by a return to the simple words Jesus taught us to use.
