BEGINNING OF EPIPHANY PRAYER
Written by Scott Wall

God, who is always creating -
This day - this year
They have never been before.

We look for you in the arrival of changes that come - some unwanted, some desperately needed, some that displace, some that stretch our capacity.

Even as we pray,
Give us peace,
In your Epiphany steps toward us.
And let our hearts and hands welcome all you bring.

Christ, who is always appearing -
This day - this year
They have never been before. We look for you in the arrival of soulfulness that comes - in minds made up, in challenges taken, in forgiveness found, in the practice of taking small steps

Even as we pray,
Give us peace,
In your Epiphany steps toward us.
And let our hearts and hands welcome all you bring.

Spirit, who is always stirring -
This day - this year
They have never been before. We look for you in the arrival of mystery that comes - the neighbourliness that finds us, the meaning we make in causes joined, the compassion that emerges when we imagine everyone we meet as Divine child.

Even as we pray,
Give us peace,
In your Epiphany steps toward us.
And let our hearts and hands welcome all you bring.
Amen.
